Welcome to the website of Our Lady of Peace Parish at Most Precious Blood and Our Lady of Grace Churches! We are a Roman Catholic Parish located in the city of Hazleton, Pennsylvania. This parish is part of the Diocese of Scranton and is led by the Rev. Anthony J. Generose, Pastor.

mission of our parish, a community of faith for
over a century, is dedicated to worship and prayer. We are committed to radiate
the life and love of God to each other. We extend our hands to those persons who
are most in need.
The consolidation of Most Precious Blood and Queen of Heaven Parishes occurred on July 1, 2025.

Scholarship America In 2026, the Costello Scholarship Program will award scholarships to Pennsylvania students planning to attend college for the entire 2026 – 2027 academic year. Applicants must: 1) Be high school seniors or graduates or current college undergraduates who reside within 30 miles of Scranton, PA and 2) Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four- year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year. A new book by Shannon Marsyada, “My Monsignor” has recently been released. It is the story of Msgr. Arthur Kaschenback, who in the 1970’s was Pastor of St. Patick’s in White Haven and later St. Mary’s in Mount Pocono, PA. His later years he was in residence at Holy Hame of Jesus in West Hazleton. He touched many lives in his 76 years of service to our Lord. The book is $15.00 with 100% of the proceeds going to the Diocese of Scranton Vocation Ministry. All orders must be pre-paid. St. Joseph Vocation Ministry News
Our next meeting is Monday, May 4, at 6:00 PM in the rectory. Those interested in joining the ministry may contact the rectory at (570) 454-8714 during business hours.
Get Involved St. Joseph Vocation Ministry offers numerous ways for you to get involved and contribute to our mission: - Host St. Joseph in your home for a weekly visit - Pray the Rosary with the parish - Pray the Rosary at home. Attend our monthly meetings for prayer and inspiration to help grow vocations to the consecrated life.
Adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament
will be held on Corpus Christi weekend Saturday, June 6, 2026, after the 4:00 p.m. Mass and conclude at 9:00 p.m. with Benediction of the Most Blessed Sacrament. Sign-up sheets are located on the St. Joseph Ministry table located in the vestibule of the church. Please take some time to spend with Our Lord praying not only for your needs, but also for vocations to the priesthood, consecrated life, diaconate, and sacramental marriage. Please use the ramp door located in the Grotto to enter.

On May 10, 2026, His Excellency Bishop Vincenzo Calvosa, along with Father Pasquale Gargione, Father Antonio Greco, Father Aniello Panzariello and Father Walter Santomauro will be celebrating mass at 10:30 am, at Our Lady of Peace Parish at Most Precious Blood Church. We would like to invite parishioners from surrounding parishes to join us for Mass and a meet and greet in MPB’s Church Hall (after mass). Bishop Vincenzo Calvosa, along with the four visiting pastors, would like to meet people from the Campania, Basilicata and Calabria regions. The people of Hazleton and the surrounding areas have celebrated, devoted and provided pilgrimage to the Saints of Cilento: Madonna della Monte, San Mauro, San Aniello and San Nazario. Bishop Vincenzo Calvosa is originally from Trebisacce Providence of Cosenza Italy and is residing as the Bishop of Vallo Della Lucania in the Providence of Salerno and the towns there of. A significant portion of the population in the greater Hazleton Area has origins in the Cilento region, as well as Trebissacce and its surrounding locales.
